After finishing her school education Shannon commenced with Rees R & Sydney
Jones as an administration assistant in 1999. At that stage she had no intention
of pursuing a career in the law. After a few years working in a legal environment
she commenced studying part time and was admitted as a solicitor in 2006.
As a result of her no frills journey to become a solicitor, Shannon has a very practical
and down to earth approach to the law. She has practised mainly in the area of personal
injuries law where compensation is awarded by the Court as a result of the negligence
of others.
Shannon has successfully recovered substantial sums for clients injured in motor
vehicle and work accidents as well as claims arising from accidents in public places.
She is well known for her ability to cut through the irrelevant facts surrounding
a difficult case and get right to the heart of the issue.
Shannon is not scared to take on the tough matters.
She has been a member of CQ Young Lawyers Committee since 2005 and is an active
participant in the affairs of the CQ Law Association. Shannon was admitted as an
associate partner of the firm in January 2010.
