Have you considered a Binding Death Benefit Nomination for your super?

Did you know that the trustee of your superannuation fund has the discretion to pay your superannuation to any of the following:

1. your spouse;

2. your children;

3. your dependants; or

4. your legal representative (your estate).

If you wish to take away the discretion of the Trustee then you will need to complete a Binding Death Benefit Nomination form with your super fund and nominate an eligible beneficiary (as provided above) to receive your death benefit.

This recent article is another great example showcasing that everyone, no matter how young you are, should consider the use of a binding death benefit nomination in an estate plan.
